Join hundreds of Reform Jewish women from sisterhoods in North America, women’s groups overseas, and individual members from around the world as we gather in Charleston, SC to learn, share, pray, connect, and demonstrate that we are stronger together.
“All…activities were well thought out, planned and delivered. I learned a lot from all…workshop blocks that I attended and cannot wait to give the information to my sisterhood upon my return. There is so much information to share, I am only sorry that I was the only one representing my sisterhood.”
- Nikki Levin, repeat WRJ event attendee from Women of Emanu-El, Milwaukee, WI
FLC will feature workshops and sessions for women of all experience levels which will sharpen your skills and expand your horizons. The following are just some examples (see the Program & Schedule page for more):
FLC will afford you the opportunity to reconnect with sisters from your own women’s group and District, while meeting new friends from around the world! Gather together with your District on Friday afternoon, and then branch out over the weekend. If you are a first-timer at FLC, don’t worry – we’ll match you up with a “buddy” beforehand and you’ll get to experience WRJ’s “audacious hospitality”.
FLC will move you when you experience the powerful prayer of hundreds of women worshipping together on Shabbat. Led by Rabbi-in-Residence Esther Lederman and musician Debra Winter, our worship will lift you spiritually as you witness the magic of women praying and singing as one in services created just for FLC 2017.
“I love the services! I laugh, I cry, I dance, I sing... It is such a beautiful experience. It opens my heart and soul and leaves me feeling so exhilarated.”
- Marlene Spolane, repeat FLC attendee from Congregation Beth Israel Sisterhood, Houston, TX
FLC will introduce you to the city of Charleston and the historic Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim synagogue. We’ll leave the hotel on Saturday afternoon to see what Travel + Leisure magazine has rated the #1 city in the world! Then, step into beautiful KKBE for a moving Havdalah service.
FLC will provide a chance to hear from and meet with women leaders of the Reform Movement. We will be inspired by women such as Blair Marks, WRJ President, Karla Goldman (professor/Jewish Women’s Archives), Miriam Chilton (URJ VP – Youth), and NFTY young women leaders. Learn first-hand from these strong, impressive women.
FLC will give you the tools you need to become empowered and be a better leader. Learn. Share. Pray. Connect. Grow. Register for FLC today!
