Nancy (Nan) Cohen, has been on the Southeast District WRJ Board of Directors since 2013. She served WRJ Southeast District as Centennial Ambassador, as an Area Director, as Senior Area Director of Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and as Archivist/Curator and Social Media Chairperson. Nan began serving on the WRJ North American Board as a member at large in 2023 Committee and was on the Nominating Committee. She is now serving as the chair of the Or Ami Committee which honors outstanding programing by local Sisterhoods/Women’s Chapters.
A native of New Jersey, Nan was an active member of Temple Beth Haverim in Mahwah, NJ, JFTY and attended Kutz Camp. After graduating from Russell Sage College in 1988, Nan moved to Smyrna, GA in 1991 and then Marietta, GA in 1997 where she is active at her congregation, Temple Kol Emeth. Since joining the TKE Sisterhood, she has served on her local Sisterhood board in many different leadership positions. Besides work, keeping up with her sons, and WRJ activities, Nan keeps active singing with her TKE choir, participating with the TKE Purimspielers- writing, directing, and acting in Purim spiels, and baton twirling with The Twilight Twirlers of Marietta - an over 45 (age) group of former high school and college majorettes, in parades and local events.
