Sandi Firsel

Sandi Firsel was a Past President of WRJ Midwest District and now serves on the Executive Committee.  Sandi was also a Past President of Women of Temple Chai, Long Grove, IL, and is still actively involved. Sandi currently serves on the WRJ Board of Directors and is a member of the Resolution Committee and Dues Connection Committee. Sandi lives in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago with her husband, Michael, and has two sons and daughters-in-law that have given her four amazing grandchildren...the loves of her life.

What do we do when we approach a crossroads in our lives? These moments define us. Often the path is not clear and we are unsure of what challenges or opportunities lie ahead.  Anticipation, uncertainty, and excitement inhabit our consciousness. Will I make a good decision for myself and others? What would it be like if you were at the shore of the Sea of Reeds on that fateful day when the sea parted? Should we look ahead or behind?

The parashah for this week is Tzav from Leviticus 6:1-8:36. It deals with the conclusion of the extensive instructions about sacrifices that began in Leviticus 1:2 and the priests’ ordination.
