Hotel & Travel

Hotel:

FWC 2024 will be held at a hotel in downtown New Orleans. For security reasons, we are not sharing the name of the hotel on any public forums, including this website. You will receive the specific hotel name, location, and a link to book a room in WRJ’s block in your registration confirmation email. If you need any details prior to registering, please contact us at wrjregistrar@wrj.org.

The rate for WRJ attendees is $239/night + tax for a standard room (2 double beds or 1 king bed). Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel reservations in WRJ’s discounted room block. Rooms are available at the discounted rate through the WRJ room block for the period of Monday, May 27, 2024 through Monday, June 3, 2024 (checking out Tuesday). After completing your online FWC registration, you will receive the link to make a hotel reservation in your confirmation page and email. All reservations must be made by May 9, 2024. After this date, we cannot guarantee rooms will be available or the rate which you will be charged.

*Hotel cancellations must be made at least 3 days (72 hours) in advance to avoid a fee. 
**Any hotel reservation cancellations or special requests must be made directly with the hotel.

Check-in is at 4:00pm CT and check-out at is at 11:00am CT.

Travel:

Attendees are responsible for arranging their own transportation to/from the hotel for FWC. Please wait to book your travel until after you complete your FWC registration to ensure you have the most complete details regarding required arrival and departure dates/times for the programs for which you sign up.

For those flying:

  • New Orleans’ Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY) is about a 20-30 minute drive away. The hotel does not provide shuttle service; an Uber/Lyft/rideshare may cost around $40 but can vary depending on timing and other factors.
  • Be sure to book a flight that lands earlier than 4:00pm on Thursday, May 30 to get to the hotel in time to check-in and pick up your registration materials before FWC officially begins at 5:30pm.
    • If you’re attending the offsite Fundraising Lunch Event at 12:00pm on Thursday, land by 10:30am on Thursday morning to arrive at the hotel in time (however, we strongly encourage you to arrive on Wednesday and spend the night at the hotel).
  • For your departure from FWC, be sure to book a flight that leaves after 2:00pm on Sunday, June 2nd so that you don’t miss any of the action (FWC ends at 11:00am)!
  • Check the FWC Schedule for additional program start/end times. A good rule of thumb is to land at the airport at least 1.5 hours before your program begins and depart at least 2.5 hours after the final program ends.

For those driving:

  • The current hotel parking rates are listed below; WRJ has 25% off the rates for our attendees:
    • On-Site (self-) parking: $42/day
    • Valet parking: $52/day
  • Be sure to arrive at the hotel by 4:30 pm on Thursday, May 30th to allow time to check-in and pick up your registration materials before FWC officially kicks off at 5:30 pm!
