WRJ Mission Statement
Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ) strengthens the voice of women worldwide and empowers them to create caring communities, nurture congregations, cultivate personal and spiritual growth, and advocate for and promote progressive Jewish values.
Devoted to a broad spectrum of Jewish and humanitarian causes, WRJ furthers the teachings and practices of Judaism. Its diversified activities include projects supporting religious and family education; strengthening Jewish identity around the world; and a wide range of social justice and women’s issues. WRJ is dedicated to:
- Strengthening the voice of women and advocating for women’s rights in religious practice and public policy;
- Connecting Jewish women around the world through events and a global network of sisterhoods and women’s groups;
- Nurturing spiritual growth and deepening Jewish engagement by providing program ideas, Torah study guides, and a wide variety of publications on worship, holidays, and more;
- Cultivating the next generation of Reform Jewish leaders through the WRJ Fried Women's Conference, the YES Fund, which includes youth and clergy scholarships, and partnerships with other arms of the Reform Movement.
