Reform Jewish Women Respond to Supreme Court Decision Regarding Preventive Medical Treatment

In response to the Supreme Court decision in Kennedy v. Braidwood Management, Rabbi Liz P.G. Hirsch, Chief Executive Officer of Women of Reform Judaism, released the following statement:

"Preventive medical treatment should never be controversial. Since the 1980s, WRJ has advocated for AIDS research, prevention, and treatment. We commend the Supreme Court for rejecting the challenge to preventive health care coverage and urge Secretary Kennedy and HHS to protect the health of vulnerable communities. We will continue to fight for bodily autonomy, health care education, and religious tolerance until it is guaranteed for all."
