Women of Reform Judaism is pleased to offer an intensive education experience prior to the start of the EUPJ/WUPJ Centennial Celebration. It is designed to enhance your leadership and World Jewry experience in very practical ways.
The seminar will be led by educator Sally Klein-Katz, an outstanding Jerusalem-based facilitator.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
This seminar is open to all women of WUPJ from outside of North America who have not previously participated in a WRJ Wilkenfeld Leadership Seminar.
We are seeking Reform/Progressive Jewish women from around the world who are interested in:
Developing successful strategies for making a difference in your community
Taking on leadership roles in their home communities
Meeting Reform/Progressive Jewish women from near and far
Learning more about:
Articulating your vision
Power of community
Defining supports and barriers
Insights into effectively working with volunteers
Fundraising
Making partnerships in your community
The program will be limited to the first 20 participants who register. A minimum of 12 participants is needed to run the program. We will let you know when the program is guaranteed to run by early April. Please do not book your flights until you receive this confirmation.
WHEN AND WHERE WILL THIS TAKE PLACE?
The seminar will begin on Sunday morning, June 21, 2026 at 9:00am and conclude mid-day on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
The program will take place in London.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT OF YOU?
Each participant will be expected to develop and implement a local project in her community. The preparation for this project will begin before the seminar, with a definition of your project and its goals. You will work with our educator, Sally Klein-Katz, over email and will attend one Zoom session with Sally to assist in refining your project plans before the seminar.
We expect you to attend all sessions beginning Sunday morning and ending on Tuesday mid-day after lunch. All meals will be included during the seminar.
The seminar will be conducted in English. Fluency in written and spoken English is needed.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AS A PARTICIPANT?
As a participant, you will further develop your leadership skills and create a network of progressive Jewish women. Participants will be housed at a hotel in London. Rooms will be double-occupancy (with other Wilkenfeld participants) and WRJ will cover the cost of the hotel the nights of Saturday, June 20, Sunday, June 21, & Monday, June 22.
More about the Seminar Costs:
Registration cost will be $180 USD, which includes all meals from Sunday morning through Tuesday lunch and seminar materials. Participants will receive a stipend to assist with the cost of their airfare or train. Travel stipends are provided based on geographic region and typical transportation costs to London in early June. The stipend is intended to partially offset travel expenses and may not cover the full cost of travel. Participants may use any airline, routing, or booking method of their choosing.
WRJ does not want finances to be a barrier to participation. Please consider reaching out to your community or region for support and contact us if you have questions.
If you are interested, please complete this form by March 1, 2026 and someone from the planning team will be in touch soon.
For questions, please contact Heather Lorgeree, WRJ Director of Engagement, at HLorgeree@wrj.org.
