Ingredients
2 cups flour (for dough)
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened (for dough)
2 tsp baking powder (for dough)
1 tsp vanilla (for dough)
1/2 cup sugar (for dough)
6 oz chocolate chips (for filling)
1 tablespoon butter (for filling)
1/2 cup sugar (for filling)
1 tsp. vanilla (for filling)
1 tablespoon milk (for filling)
1 egg, beaten
Directions
Dough
2 eggs, beaten
Combine all ingredients except filling;
Blend well to make the cookie dough.
Roll thinly on a lightly floured board. Cut into circles
Place one tsp. filling in the center and pinch up sides to form 3-pointed hamentashen.
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
Filling
Combine all ingredients except egg in a small saucepan.
Cook over low heat until melted.
Remove from heat and blend in the egg.
