What We Do

WRJ provides its affiliated sisterhoods with education and training for its leadership in the areas of membership, fundraising, leadership skills, advocacy, innovative programming, and spiritual growth through conferences and meetings held throughout the year. Aside from providing funds to ensure all members can attend these events, WRJ also recognizes those sisterhoods and individuals who continue to exemplify its missions and objectives around the world.

There are a variety of awards and grants available for WRJ affiliated sisterhoods who have shown effective leadership skills, brought innovative programming to their communities, or are looking to engage membership through the development of skills and furthering of education.

As an umbrella for hundreds of Reform sisterhoods, WRJ brings together women from around the world to learn from one another, develop personal relationships, create a joyful community of faith, and have fun.

Through the YES Fund and other philanthropic efforts, WRJ provides hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to educate Reform professionals, advance women’s leadership, and build Progressive institutions.

Through WRJ, Reform women have created a unique and vibrant role for women in congregational life and helped women find their spiritual voice. Today, WRJ offers many programs to foster women’s Jewish growth.
