Executive Committee

Deb Lelchuk is a Member At Large on the WRJ Executive Committee. She has served on the WRJ Board since 2019. With a co-chair, Deb originated Film, Fiction & Fine Wine. She co-chaired the Civil Rights Journey, chaired L’Atid, and served on a Board Nominating and the Microgrants committees. Deb also served as one of the WRJ representatives to the Commission on Social Action.

Born and raised in Southern California, Deb and her husband joined Temple Beth David in Westminster when their oldest daughter started religious school. She served on the congregational board for many years in a wide variety of positions (publicity, ways & means, operations, planning, and social action) before joining the Women of Beth David Board to serve as social action, publicity, and program trustee. She is also active in her local NCJW, having served as recording secretary and co-advocacy vice president on the Board and currently on several committees. Deb has volunteered in a variety of local organizations, including Friends of the Library and Orange County Jewish Coalition for Refugees, a community service and advocacy group.

Deb lives with her husband in Orange County and enjoys traveling, reading, walking, yoga and pickleball. They’ve raised two amazing and successful daughters.
